General
|
|
Impala are one of the most numerous antelope in South
Africa and are very popular animals for private game farms.
They can form very large herds and the males establish territories
that they actively defend during the mating season. Impala
are both browsers and grazers, enabling them to survive
in many habitats. The Impala is one of the finest jumpers
in Africa, known to clear 3m in height and have been recorded
clearing 12m in length. They are the favored prey of Leopard
as well as Wild Dog. |
